Where did the real Ritsuka go?

This is a picture of me cosplaying Ritsuka from the anime Loveless, owned by Yun Kouga.

I think this picture represents everything Ritsuka is. If you don’t know the story, Ritsuka is a 12 year old elementary student who lost his memory 2 years ago just days before his Beloved older brother was murdered. He has no idea who he once was all he knows are things his mother, who now hates this new Ritsuka, has told him through traumatic beatings. From what we know he was a sweet yet stubborn child. Who he is now is a philosopher, always looking to understand and give his in-put. He is constantly throughout the anime/manga talking about the ‘old Ritsuka’. This former, this ghost of the person he is supposed to be.

So in the picture I not only have him as his ‘old self’, sweet yet stubborn, swinging without a smile. But also his ‘new self’, trying to understand, looking up to the sky for answers.

When I saw this picture I immediately knew what story of Ritsuka’s life it represents. Two boys in one body, both disappearing in time.
